The staff and residents of Balhousie Dalnaglar have been clocking up thousands of steps as they take on another virtual walking challenge – this time to the Wales Coastal Path.
An 870 mile walk, the staff and residents have, at the latest count, covered 639 miles since the beginning of October and are well on their way to completing the challenge. In one day alone, they walked over 200,000 steps!
The virtual walk has been organised by Activities Coordinator, Julie Davies, who originally planned for the challenge to be to walk up Mount Everest but, when she discovered that scaling Everest was only 45 miles, she found a more substantial challenge in the Wales Coastal Path!
Julie organised the virtual walk to give every resident, member of staff and the relatives, an opportunity to get moving and feel good physically and mentally as we move into the darker nights.
Well done, Team Dalnaglar!
