children singing carols

One of our residents’ favourite things at Christmastime is when local schoolchildren come and visit them.

At Balhousie Lisden in Kirriemuir they were doubly lucky this week, with visits from two local schools.

Firstly came Northmuir Primary school pupils in fine voice, singing their favourite Christmas carols and fun festive songs.

They were followed a few days later by older students from Websters High School. Through their Interact Club, which is supported by Kirriemuir Rotary Club, they had organised a number of competitions for their Christmas Fayre with the aim of buying games and activities for the Angus care home.

They achieved a superb sum of £170 and came to visit residents bearing gifts in true Christmas fashion: pop-up game boards, karaoke microphone games, an Amazon Firestick and £100 gift card!

Staff and residents just loved having their smiling faces in their home at Christmas, and send a huge thank you to the local pupils for their gifts, their singing, and for visiting.
