Balhousie St Ronan’s has double reason to celebrate: not only is the company 30 years old, but this is St Ronan’s 10th year in operation.

To mark its decade as a leading Dundee care home, St Ronan’s threw a Hawaiian themed party. The grass skirts, leis, flowers and tropical fruit were in abundance and there was live music too. Meanwhile, staff created their own custom cocktails, including the Balhousie Bomb and the Hawaiian Surprise.

As well as residents and staff, relatives called in too, making the party an occasion to be remembered.

St Ronan’s has several staff members who have been with them since they opened. Long-time resident Barbara Clubb has been living there practically since the doors opened too. Originally from Forfar, where she was a farmer’s wife, she moved in in January 2013. That’s not to say she doesn’t like getting out though, and every Christmas Activities Coordinator Paula Balfour take Barbara to her family’s home where she celebrates with them.
