Spring has well and truly sprung at Balhousie Dalnaglar!
They have been home to some very special little chicks over the past few weeks. First, arriving as eggs, the residents and staff have excitedly watched the eggs hatch one-by-one until they had nine adorable little fluffy chicks.
The team purchased the eggs from a company called Living Eggs where they supplied an incubator along with the eggs and instructions for how to care for the hatchlings.
The chicks have had lots of love from the residents, staff, relatives and members of staff’s children who’ve come in to meet the fluffy friends.
They even had a short trip to Richmond House, another care home in Crieff. Julie Davies, the Activities Coordinator at Dalnaglar, took the chicks along so the residents there could also meet them.
