Balhousie Care Group is now part of AcalisCare, a prominent healthcare provider based in Belgium with almost two decades of international experience in Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay and Turkey. Our new Chairman, Lieven Baten, was keen to meet with everyone and last week took on a whistlestop tour of central and North-East Scotland, visiting each of our homes and meeting with staff and residents.
Here he is below, as he arrived at Balhousie’s Highland Perthshire home in Pitlochry and met with Home Manager, Claire Mackay and Administrator, Shona Hutchcox, as well as staff around the home, including Deputy Home Manager Svetlana Marici and Senior Care Assistant Dan Walker, Chef Tiwonge (Tia) Graham and Care Assistant Jamie. Lieven also chatted with resident, Gordon Dilworth.
After 30 years building such a strong reputation, the Balhousie Care Group name remains. And our Head Office and management teams will still be in Perth. But with the pandemic, unsurprisingly putting many growth plans on hold, these can now be given new life as part of AcalisCare.
New Chairman Lieven said: “Balhousie brings innovation and excitement to Scotland’s care sector. We see huge potential to grow and expand under the Balhousie brand.”
Outgoing Chairman and Founder, Tony Banks sent a Thank You to all staff.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank every one of you for your commitment to, and hard work for, Balhousie Care Group. I am extremely proud of what the group and the brand has become. This is the start of an exciting new growth and investment phase, for the business, for our staff and for residents”
As we come to the end of our 30th birthday celebrations, we look ahead with anticipation and excitement to our next chapter.
