It was a long haul flight, and a long-drawn-out trip, as Alison Beck travelled from Malaysia to Scotland to visit her father in his care home.
The need to self-isolate has meant that Alison’s trip has taken five weeks in total. But it was worth it as she reunited with father Tom Ferrie at Balhousie Moyness in Broughty Ferry.
The care home has just installed an intercom system, allowing father and daughter to easily communicate with each other. And because they did so through a closed window, there was no need for Alison to wear PPE.
Alison flies back to Malaysia next week.
