Residents at Balhousie Dalnaglar are being kept bang up to date thanks to Julie Davies, the home’s Activities Coordinator.
Realising there were so many amazing activities going on at the Crieff home, Julie decided to start a weekly newsletter to make sure every resident is kept in the loop.
Naming it the ‘Dalnaglar Drivel’, she fills it with upcoming events and the latest news.
It also includes fun features, including pet of the week, joke of the week and crosswords.
And the ‘meet the staff’ section helps the residents get to know the team, while it also provides details of every upcoming birthday.
“The residents and staff have regular input, and they love receiving the newsletter,” Julie said.
“Ethel the tortoise was a huge hit and led to one of the residents asking Leigh, our Deputy Manager, to bring her in, which they all loved.
“Family members are able to sit and do the quizzes with the residents, too.”
With even more great events coming up, Julie will have no trouble filling the pages of the Drivel for weeks to come!
