It was a very special day for Alastrean resident, Kirsty, who reached the fine age of 103 this week.

And as always, the staff and residents at the Aberdeenshire home made sure she was able to celebrate her big day in style!

She enjoyed a fantastic birthday, filled with cards, cake, and plenty of visitors.

Victoria Smith, Activities Coordinator at Alastrean, said: “Kirsty had a very busy day, but she loved every minute of it.

“In the morning she had a lovely bouquet delivered from the minister, which made her day.

“We got her a ‘birthday girl’ badge which she was delighted with and kept on all day. Then in the afternoon she had no fewer than eight visitors, and was spoilt rotten by all of them – her room is covered in cards!

“Once they had left, we all had cake and sang happy birthday to her.”

Happy birthday, Kirsty!
