Party Time! And staff and residents took to the floor at Balhousie Clement Park care home in Dundee at the weekend, making a double-whammy of residents’ birthdays a fun-filled – and boogie-filled – event!
A professional singer kicked off the party and lead the singing, and there was dancing-a-plenty as Chubby Checker’s Let’s Twist Again rang out. Billy took staff through the dance steps so fast they became a blur for the photos and also took to the mic with his own lyric book! Well, after all it was his and Bethany’s birthday. Soon lots of other residents felt the call to the floor, and soaked up the joy of the dance: no handbags on the floor though!
As the incomparable Gene Kelly said, “You dance love, and you dance joy, and you dance dreams.”
