Residents, staff, families and friends came together to enjoy an amazing afternoon in the sun as Balhousie Luncarty held its Summer Fair.

Held to raise money for the residents’ comfort fund, the day proved a roaring success – and a true occasion for all ages.

The staff organised a fantastic day with help from several family members, and there were plenty of games, summer fair staples including a raffle and a lucky dip, and plenty of delicious food and drink.

And Louise Anderson, Home Manager at Luncarty, proved she was a good sport by agreeing to get soaked for a good cause!

The residents, staff and even her own children showed no mercy as they pelted her with ice-cold sponges.

But it was worth it as the event raised more than £600, which will go towards equipment and activities to ensure the residents continue to live their best lives at the Perthshire home.

After she had dried off, Louise said: “The Summer Fair turned out to be an absolutely fabulous day for everyone.

“Thankfully the sun shone for us.

“We have a great team at Luncarty, and I couldn’t be prouder of everyone for coming together as a team and proving they are a family.

“We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came and joined us, and helped us raise £604 for the comfort fund.”
