Moira Stewart, Chef at Balhousie Willowbank, and Activities Coordinator Jane Paton came up with a great idea to make our fish and chips day more special for our residents.

They got newspaper and wrapped up each portion of fish and chips to make it look like they had got a fish and chips takeaway. This was a massive success; our residents loved it and it showed as everyone ate it.

There were comments like “This is such a good idea” from Carol Ann Gadd, and “This is braw” from Violet Walker.

We even heard some residents talking about where they used to go to get their fish and chips and which restaurants where their favourite. This was a great way to bring back memories and reminiscing.
