Care home operator Balhousie Care Group is sponsoring Kiltwalk Dundee and the accompanying Wave FM Roadshow, the latest move in a drive to support the communities it operates in.

The award-winning Balhousie Care Group operates 25 care homes and has a strong presence in Tayside. Founded in Forfar in 1992, Balhousie Care has ten care homes in and around Dundee and Angus. A long-time community supporter through charities and events, Balhousie Care’s philosophy is that its care homes are important community players.

The care home group’s presence at Kiltwalk Dundee on August 18 is part of a plan to strengthen community relations even more in the next year and beyond, said Chief Executive Officer Jill Kerr. On the same weekend, Balhousie Care is sponsoring Crieff Highland Gathering.

Jill said: “Although we have grown to be Scotland’s largest private care home operator, each of our 25 care homes have their own identity, culture and local community. A big part of that is being a community player, and for that reason events such as Kiltwalk Dundee, the Wave FM Roadshow and Crieff Highland Gathering are important and exciting projects to be involved in.”

Kiltwalk Dundee returns to St Andrews and Dundee on Sunday August 18 with three walks of different distances, all ending in Monifieth.
