When Dunelm Falkirk Community Support Group Facebook page asked for nominations to receive their Care Home Giveaway, Balhousie Wheatlands in Bonnybridge, was one of the first to have their name thrown into the frame.
The local store was giving away one of their extremely popular Teddy Bear Reversible Throws and four Soft Fleece Throws to one local care home. The call went out to supporters to add the care home name to the poll on the social media page, and share to invite friends to mount up the votes.
With hours to go to the competition closure, Dunelm did a shout out to ask, “Can anyone catch Wheatlands?”
And the simple answer was a resounding, “no”. With almost double the votes of the next nearest nominated care home, Wheatlands staff were overwhelmed by the support that saw them flying over the finish line.
