January can sometimes be a miserable month after the excitement of Christmas, can’t it? Especially when we talk about Blue Monday, so-named as the lowest day in the year.
So, we decided to cheer it up a little by giving a surprise gift to one of our staff. A £100 Amazon gift card – very kindly donated by one of our wonderful suppliers, Andrew Renwick from Dundee-based Caltech Lifts, at the end of last year. What better way to bring a smile than donate it to one of our Everyday Heroes?
After a randomised draw, the winner was Carole Thomson, a Care Assistant from Balhousie Clement Park in Dundee. “I usually spend money on my grandkids, but I’m going to spend this all on myself.”

To cheer up all of our Blue Mondays, The Samaritans have a campaign to change Blue Monday to Brew Monday! To encourage us all to come together and be there for each other.
