Two Perth care homes are calling for ‘Everyday Heroes’ to join their teams as they launch flash recruitment events city-wide.
Balhousie North Inch and North Grove, which sit side by side on the edges of North Inch Park, will be promoting their company benefits, flexible hours and a £1000 sign-on bonus for certain care positions, at events over the next two weeks.
‘Pop-up’ recruitment stands will be at the home at 99 Hay Street, Perth on August 13 and 14 from 11am to 3pm, and at St John’s Shopping Centre, Perth all day on August 20 and 27. There will be on-the-spot job interviews for the right candidates as well as giveaways and a chance to meet the staff.
Operations Manager Emma Roberts said: “We’re looking for Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants, with a £1000 ‘Golden Hello’ for the Senior roles. This is a great chance for people to find out about a career in care and our excellent company benefits, which include shopping and travel discounts, a wellbeing app and prize draws. Our two Perth homes benefit from a great city centre location so they are easy to access by bus or by foot. And we’re proud of our close ties to the community.”
Emma added: “We call our employees Everyday Heroes because they make a difference to our residents every single day. We’re looking for people who share that commitment.”

About Balhousie Care Group
Balhousie Care Group was formed 30 years ago to fill a gap in quality residential care in North East Scotland. Today, with 26 homes in the area, it is one of the leading providers of care for the elderly in Scotland, providing care to over 900 residents.
Balhousie Care prides itself on its person-centred approach to care. Putting people right at the forefront of everything they do; it’s inclusive of everyone. They capture this philosophy through the roll out of ‘Together We’re Great’, an initiative which recognises the skills, talents, attributes and support areas for each and every person involved in the organisation. Together We’re Great aims to value individuality and promote excellence across the organisation.
A Participation Charter – a first-of-its-kind in the care home sector – commits to residents getting a bigger say than ever in the care they receive, from writing care home policies to recruiting staff.
Balhousie Care Group is the recipient of numerous awards. These include three Scottish Care Awards, 2019 Growth Business and 2018 Service Business of the Year at The Courier Business Awards, 2019 Growth Business of the Year Perthshire Chamber of Commerce STAR Award, and SME Scotland Business Man of the Year 2019 for Chairman Tony Banks.
