Ursula Crichton, a resident at Balhousie Rumbling Bridge, experienced something completely unique when celebrating her 94th birthday this week. Her son and daughter-in-law wished her a Happy Birthday with a great big banner from the care home’s car park.

Not wanting to let the day go by without seeing his mum in person, John Crichton and his wife, Geraldine, waved to a delighted Ursula and then spoke to each other on Skype. Ursula connected with her family on one of the care home’s new tablets brought in to aide communication between residents and their families while seeing each other is more challenging.

Later, fellow resident Jean helped present Ursula with a birthday cake and cards. Happy Birthday, Ursula!
