A number of Balhousie homes Harkened to their Herald Angels this week, as they enjoyed heartwarming visits from schools and nurseries, singing outside the windows to cheer the residents.
Balhousie North Inch in Perth enjoyed a wee visit from Balhousie primary school P1, 2 and 3 to delight their residents. While, staff and residents at Balhousie Wheatlands in bonnie Bonnybridge gathered in the lounge when it seemed Michael Bublé had arrived to serenade them! But it was the wonderful voices of the Antonine Primary School choir with a medley, including Michael’s Holly Jolly Christmas, Jingles Bells and We Wish you a Merry Christmas.
And at Balhousie Willowbank in Carnoustie, they had a visit from the fantastic little carollers of Woodlands Primary School, singing – with all the actions and real jingle bells – about poor Santa getting stuck up the chimney! And steaming hot Christmas puddings. Yum!
You can listen to the real spirit of Christmas below – the pure intergenerational joy of little ones stepping out to bring smiles to their local care home residents.
