Staff at Balhousie Coupar Angus with their delicacies from Sri Lanka

At Balhousie Care, we’re big fans of our food – so you can imagine our delight when three Everyday Heroes at Coupar Angus brought some homemade treats!

Sapna, Shashika and Radika, who work at the Perthshire home, cooked up some delicacies from their homeland, Sri Lanka.

The trio then brought their tasty creations to the home for their colleagues and the residents to try!

Everyone enjoyed tucking into the delicious dishes, which included milk rice, seeni-sambole, naran kewm, kokis, wade, milk toffee and cutlets.

Kirsty Stevens, Interim Home Manager at Balhousie Coupar Angus, said: “We are so grateful to Sapna, Shashika and Radika for making such delicious food and bringing it to the home for all of us to try. It was all lovely!

“We have a wonderfully diverse workforce, and it is fantastic for everyone at Balhousie to be able to experience different cultures.

“The staff and residents all loved sampling the different dishes and are looking forward to their next feast.”
