And none more so than for Mandy Grant, brilliant Activities Coordinator at Balhousie Willowbank in Carnoustie. Mandy was shopping for supplies for her role and tells us how wonderfully surprised she was by the generosity of Poundland Dundee!
“I was buying craft items and lady at the till asked what I was away to do. I said we were having our usual craft sessions and explained where I worked, when she told me to wait a minute. When she returned she was carrying a fantastic array of chocolate goodies for our residents. How marvellous was that! There was so much that carrying it home was an effort but well worth it!”
For Balhousie Coupar Angus the unexpected, and very welcome, gift came from Willows coffee house and restaurant in Perth. Home Manager, Morag Shea was delighted to receive a delivery of cakes and sandwiches for the staff, to thank them for their amazing hard work over recent months.
