Find a Balhousie Care Home
Find a career at Balhousie
We are delighted to announce that we are in advanced discussions about our plans to restore the opportunity to visit your loved one in our care homes. The threat of COVID-19 is still very real to our vulnerable and elderly which means it is vital that the re-opening takes place in the safest and most practical way possible. This will include the strictest infection prevention and control measures, and regular testing.
Among the many new measures we have taken to prepare for the re-establishing of visits are Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for visitors, thermal imaging cameras to detect high temperatures, and staggered visits through an online booking system. This will be a gradual, measured and intentionally cautious process. We cannot risk allowing the undoing of all the benefits of the vital safety controls we’ve put in place since March.
Please note that, in accordance with Scottish Government guidelines, the first visits allowed to care homes will take place in gardens with one key designated visitor per resident.
THANK YOU for your support these last few months and we look forward to sharing more details with you in the coming days as we enter the next phase of our ‘new normal’.
